Tamarina Golf Course

The Course

Tamarina sits on the west coast at Tamarin Bay, an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Wright Golf Design and opened in 2006. The layout undulates over savannah crossed by the Rempart River, with the mountain of the same name forming a backdrop to several holes.

It sits in one of the driest parts of the island, so it plays firmer and drier underfoot than the east-coast resort courses — a good change of pace if you’re combining it with Ile aux Cerfs or Paradis on the same trip.

Where You'll Stay

Tamarina Golf & Spa Boutique Hotel

Rated 4 out of 5

A 50-room boutique hotel right on the golf estate, with a private beach club at La Preneuse for days off the course. It sits between Rempart Mountain and Tamarin Bay, about 50 minutes from the airport.

Smaller and quieter than the big east-coast resorts, with direct access to the course and a spa on site — a good fit if you want golf and a proper beach without a large all-inclusive crowd.
