Built in 1969, the Old Course is the original Vilamoura layout and still known locally as the ‘Grande Dame’ of the Algarve.
Frank Pennink’s routing was reshaped by Martin Hawtree in the 1990s, and the course hosted the Portuguese Open in 1976 — it plays like a proper piece of golf history rather than a resort add-on.
