Ombria Resort

The Course

Ombria is inland, in the hills above Loulé, and plays differently to the coastal Algarve courses — more elevation change, tighter tree-lined corridors, and a quieter, more private feel than the marina courses.

The resort itself is newer and design-forward, with accommodation built into the same site as the course, so it works well as a standalone base for a shorter trip, or as a one-night change of pace within a longer Algarve itinerary.

Where You'll Stay

Viceroy at Ombria Algarve

Rated 5 out of 5

Viceroy at Ombria Algarve is the resort’s five-star hotel — 151 rooms and suites set into the hillside above Loué, built from stone, wool and rammed earth in a distinctly Algarve style.

It’s inland rather than beachfront, so the pace is different: golf and spa on-site, with a shuttle down to the coast when the group wants the beach.
